Summary
Welch Materials releases new Blossmate series chiral stationary phases, from analytical columns, preparative columns, to bulk media (packing materials). It will replace our existing Ultisil chiral series to be your new chiral separation partner across all scales, bringing high selectivity, high loading capacity, and consistent and reproducible separation results.
Product Overview
Our Blossmate chiral stationary phases are designed for high-performance enantiomeric separations in analytical, preparative, and bulk purification scale. Available in both coated and immobilized polysaccharide phases, Blossmate chiral series products deliver selectivity, reproducibility, and scalability from R&D through commercial purification.
Phase Options
- Coated phases: 5 distinct coated polysaccharide CSP chemistries: Amy-D, Cellu-D, Amy-S, Cellu-J, and Cellu-Z. Each chemistry is supplied in both normal-phase and reversed-phase variants.
- Immobilized phases: 4 immobilized polysaccharide CSP chemistries: IMMA, IMMB, IMMC, IMMG.

Key Advantages
- Excellent selectivity — Polysaccharide-based CSPs in the Blossmate chiral family exhibit broad and robust chiral recognition across diverse classes of molecules, improving enantiomeric resolution for challenging targets.
- High efficiency & superior separation — Columns consistently produce strong peak shape, high theoretical plate counts, and reproducible retention behavior run-to-run and batch-to-batch.
- Scale-up capability — Identical stationary-phase chemistries are available across analytical, preparative, and bulk formats to support direct scale-up and process intensification with minimal re-optimization.
- SFC and HPLC compatibility — Preparative column hardware is SFC-compatible by design; the same column hardware supports both preparative SFC and HPLC workflows without the need for separate fittings or special vessels.
Modes of Use
Blossmate chiral columns and media support the full range of commonly used chiral separation modes: normal-phase, reversed-phase, polar organic, and SFC (supercritical fluid chromatography), enabling flexible method development for both polar and nonpolar targets.
