A Strategic Milestone in Separation Sciences

The newly commissioned facility is designed to serve as a dual-purpose center for high-end research and development and closed-loop industrial production. By integrating advanced R&D with large-scale manufacturing, the site aims to provide the pharmaceutical, food safety, and environmental sectors with stable, high-performance purification solutions.

“Our new base will be a "key strategic pivot" for the company’s future,” said Tu Bingfang, Chairman of Welch Materials, “we planned the site to produce 190,000 chromatographic columns and 30 tons of purification materials annually, which will surely enhance supply chain autonomy and accelerate the adoption of domestic high-end materials, supporting both domestic growth and global distribution.”

Following the ceremony and a guided tour of the production area, the facility hosted a technical symposium titled "New Realms in Chromatography: From Analytical to Purification." The forum gathered industry leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of oligonucleotide quality control and large-scale purification, featuring several in-depth technical presentations:

  • Mr. Kong Sudong, General Manager of Suzhou Biosyntech Co., Ltd., delivered a lecture on the analysis of impurity research and quality control in oligonucleotides.
  • Mr. Pei Haiyang, Vice Marketing Director of Welch Materials, introduced the company’s latest comprehensive separation and purification solutions.
  • Mr. Wang Zhuchao, Senior Applications Manager at Welch Materials, detailed advanced analytical application frameworks.
