Welch products introduction

Xtimate Bio SEC Series

Xtimate Bio SEC Chromatography Column employs ultrapure silica gel as its matrix for size exclusion chromatography. Its stationary phase consists of ultrapure silica gel microspheres with a uniformly nano-thick layer of hydrophilic polymer bonded to their surfaces.

Welch Materials employs a unique surface modification technology, ensuring the complete and uniform bonding of the polymer nanolayer to the silica gel surface. This extensive coverage significantly reduces the nonspecific adsorption of biological samples within the silica gel packing. The Xtimate Bio SEC column also exhibits excellent stability and batch reproducibility. Its primary application areas include biomolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, peptides, oligonucleotides, bacteria, viruses, and more.

    Applications:

    1. Bovine serum albumin
    Overlap spectra:
Black: Welch Xtimate Bio SEC-120 column
Red: SEC column from a certain manufacturer
    Conclusion:

Xtimate Bio SEC-120 chromatography column, when used for detecting bovine serum albumin samples, exhibited significantly higher sensitivity and response values compared to a certain manufacturer’s SEC chromatography column. Moreover, it demonstrated lower nonspecific adsorption of samples.

    2. Monoclonal Antibody Samples

    Conclusion:

    • Under these chromatographic conditions, the main peak of the monoclonal antibody sample exhibits excellent peak shape.
    • The separation between the main peak and the preceding unknown peak is satisfactory, meeting the detection requirements.

    3. Human Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor Sample

    Conclusion:

    • Under these chromatographic conditions, the main peak of the human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor sample exhibits excellent peak shape.
    • The separation between the main peak and the surrounding unknown peaks is satisfactory, meeting the detection requirements.
