In the packing and purification processes, the packing material undergoes significant mechanical pressure. Therefore, the mechanical strength requirements for packing materials are generally higher than those for analytical-grade packing materials. The mechanical strength of the packing material is a crucial quality indicator, as it directly influences the lifespan and production process of the material. Frequent packing and unpacking demand exceptionally stable packing materials. Insufficient mechanical strength can lead to packing material breakage, resulting in increased column pressure, decreased column efficiency, and compromised performance. This underscores the need for high mechanical strength and robust bonding techniques to extend the lifespan of packing materials, thereby enhancing customer production efficiency and reducing costs associated with separation purification.

The standard lead time is typically 3-5 weeks. For urgent requirements, please confirm stock availability via live chat before check out.

Key Advantages

  • Excellent selectivity: polysaccharide-based CSPs provide superior recognition and resolution across a wide range of chiral molecules.
  • High efficiency & superior separation: achieve strong peak shape, high plate count and consistent reproducibility.
  • Scale-up capability: Available in analytical columns, preparative columns, and bulk media for seamless process development to production.
  • SFC and HPLC compatibility: All preparative column hardware is compatible with SFC; no separate hardware required.

Modes of Use

Blossmate chiral columns and media support the full range of commonly used chiral separation modes: normal-phase, reversed-phase, polar organic, and SFC (supercritical fluid chromatography), enabling flexible method development for both polar and nonpolar targets.

Mode Switching from NP to RP

While Blossmate chiral phases can operate in both NP and RP, once switched from NP to RP, that column should remain dedicated for RP only.

Recommended conditioning before switching:

  • Test the column in NP mode to confirm performance.
  • Flush with isopropanol at 0.25 mL/min (4.6 mm ID) for 20 minutes.
  • Then flush with methanol.
  • Transition to RP using aqueous methanol or aqueous acetonitrile.
